Question / Help obs-ndi 4.9.0 download blocked.

HI sorry if i've posted in the wrong place.
I've just tried download the plugin obs-ndi 4.9.0 to my windows pc to enable me to run my phone as a webcam and windows defender blocked it. It says it has the following hi risk threat Trojan:Win32/Zpevdo. I'm no expert on these things so any advice would be most helpful.

That's pretty weird, I uploaded the file to VirusTotal and a small handful of vendors flag it so I was suspicious. https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file...d37231e204affae7fb520155e0933801630/detection

However, I did some Googling and it seems this isn't a new problem and this has happened with that plugin before. Have a read: https://www.reddit.com/r/obs/comments/7tm7tv/i_think_i_might_have_found_adware_in_obsndis/

Given I also found some old forum posts on here about OBS itself triggering anti-virus programs in the past I'd err on saying it's probably safe. However I'm just a random person on the internet so don't blindly take my advice as truth!

HI Jamie thank you for all the information. I personally think its OBS triggering the anti virus program rather than an actual virus otherwise there would be something about it when i searched google. I will check out your links now and thank you again :)
