- Support for choosing format types like .mp4, .mov and .mkv and not just .flv. This would hopefully allow for a visual representation of these file elements when clicking browse.
- I have noticed that the remuxer does in fact support both the .mp4 and .mkv which is great, but I have to manually type in the file name instead of being able to click on the file.
- You might question yourself why I am remuxing a .mp4 into a .mp4? I am using Sony Vegas Pro 10 to edit my videos and Vegas does not support the aac audio codec that OBS-MP is using (audio track is not showing). Some people say it does work in the newer versions of Vegas but I am not going to get the newer versions. This was for a long time a big problem for me as I wanted to keep and edit multiple audio streams. I found a painfully slow workaround by mapping and reencoding the video and audio streams with ffmpeg. Luckily it was possible to easily remux the file inside OBS which made everything considerably quicker!
I do however hope that you will attempt to find a better solution to the problem, avoiding the need for remuxing (maybe use a different aac audio codec?)
- Ability to select multiple files or a folder when remuxing, or even support for remuxing several files simultaneously.
- Have the OBS Remuxer be a standalone program that can be opened independently. This will possibly allow us to right click the raw OBS clips and choose open with OBS Remuxer, directly inserting the file(s) instead of having to browse.
