Question / Help OBS monitor capture black screen?

So I've been streaming with OBS just fine on my new windows 8 laptop, but today my Monitor Capture started resulting in a black screen. I've spent hours trying fixes from forum posts here and various google searches but nothing seems to fix it. OBS can capture applications with Window Capture and Game Capture but when I use Monitor Capture I get a black screen.

Any help would be appreciated, I can provide other info about my computer if needed.

Monitor capture on switchable graphics is generally flaky. Use window capture or game capture.
