Question / Help OBS Minimized Screen

I am trying to use game capture to stream/record modern warfare but when I play the game in full screen it is either dark or showing a smaller video resolution in the top left with the rest black. When I tab out of the game on stream it shows the game in full screen. The game is in 1920x1080, the same as the video is recording. I am also using Stream Elements but I don't think that is part of the issue because I experienced the same thing prior.
 
It looks as if your game in fullscreen runs with lower resolution than windowed. Your monitor scales everything up to look fullscreen, so you might not realize this fullscreen is not really the maximum resolution. Check with your game what resolution it will use while running real fullscreen.

The game capture source adapts its size to the actual resolution, so if the game running fullscreen is a lower resolution than your OBS canvas size of 1920x1080, it will occupy only the topper left within OBS.
