I know this is a re-post, but I feel like I have to because I've looked at all the others and tried all of the solutions to no avail. Whenever I record minecraft, window or game capture, all it does is record a black screen. I can hear audio, but that's it. I have tried compatibility mode, messing with the output quality, and more, but I just can't seem to fix it! Can I have some help? By the way I am positive I am using studio mode. I used to use the original, but I switched because the original ran crappy on my computer. Also, usually when I view the black-screen recording, I get a message that says "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." Here is my log:

Actually post your log.

And don't rely on windows media player. Use a good player like vlc or kodi.

You should be using game capture, not window capture to capture minecraft.
You may need to enable multi-adapter compatibility hooking.

Oh, wow, VLC is actually playing the video. Thanks, Harold! I didn't know Windows Media Player wasn't a reliable program.

Well, know that I can actually VIEW my mp4, It's really pixelated. Do you know of a way I can fix that?

For recording, use the simple output mode, recording preset of "Indistinguishable" with the encoder of "x264, low cpu use"
