Heres things i tried:
- My mic is Fifine ampligame am8
- The CPU isn't under a heavy load during my streams/recordings. The issue persists even if no game is running.
- I've recorded using hardware AND software encoding.
- Problem is in both broadcasts and recordings.
- I've recorded in Audacity at the same time as OBS to confirm that the cutouts only happen in OBS recordings, so it doesn't seem like a hardware issue.
- The sample rate for all audio devices has been set to 44.1khz, which matches my OBS settings.
- I've tested the mic with filters and without.
- The gain knob on my mic is pretty low. It's definitely not peaking unless I shout into it point-blank.
- I've tried running Streamlabs as administrator.
- There doesn't seem to be any correlation with my speaking volume or keyboard/mouse inputs.
- I've tried using OBS as well as SLOBS. No discernable difference.
- I've tried "Exclusive Mode" on and off under Windows sound settings.
- No discernable difference when I change the audio bitrate.
