Question / Help OBS mic audio issue

I am new to OBS and am trying to figure things out but for some reason one thing after another is not working. I feel like i have almost figured it out but this is kind of a big last issue.
When I click Start Recording, everything works and my mic audio shows green bars going up, but when I end the recording and listen to the video, my voice can't be heard at all. Just the game audio. I don't know why this isn't working because my mic isn't muted, I have push to talk turned off and I am using the correct microphone. HELP!

How are you playing back the videos to check if your mic is present?

VLC is a media player. It's a program that can play videos that you download or record on your system. It's a lot better than Windows Media Player, which comes with Windows. You can get it from here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
