OBS Massive file sizes?

I have worked out it is because of the game i am playing. It goes stupidly high when i start playing and recording. No idea why but the file sizes are fine when not playing it???

You set an extremely (an unnecessarily) high quality level for recording (CQP level 15), so you got extremely large files.
If there isn't anything moving and you're just recording your mostly still desktop, the file size is much lower, because this recording mode is only writing to disk if there is any change in the image. A running game has very high change, a still desktop doesn't.

For easy setting, use simple output mode instead of advanced and choose "High Quality, Medium File Size" as quality. Or if you insist on advanced output mode, increase the cq value to get smaller files. Increasing the cq value by 3-4, you're halving the file size.
