I'm trying to finally record my segmented run of Portal in good quality, as I can only livestream in 480p 30fps with 600kbits. I have previously previewed the entire run on stream and never had any issues with the game crashing (unless I was messing around in oob space, there's a spot where you portal under a part of the broken glados and it crashes).
I tried lowering the quality of the recording, tried going down to 30fps and nothing works. I can still view all of my demos when not recording via obs.
I have all overlays disabled (Steam and Discord), so that's not the issue either. I always change hl2.exe to 'higher than usual' priority to avoid a weird lag issue. The game is running in 1920*1080px borderless-window mode and is being recorded via window capture.
Any idea what could be the cause? Quality settings that differ from my usual streaming settings: 5000kbit/s quality, 320kbit/s audio quality, 60fps, Resolution Downscale: None, disabled various sounds in the settings of windows to avoid unwanted sounds playing in the background
