I've had this issue before I got my new Blue Snowball. I originally thought it was my crappy headset microphone causing this crackle/pop issue. However it's not, with a little investigation I decided to disable my webcam from the scene and the crackle/pop noise disappears.
Here's two videos
With webcam: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiFNxdLRjpQ&feature=youtu.be
Without webcam: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDcVGRd0yQ4
Things i've tried:
Different ports
Different cables
Different mics
Different headsets
Any help would be appreciated.
[Edit]
This also only seems to happen when selecting "Use custom audio device". If I am using my webcam and my mic through the device mic capture it doesn't make this noise. It appears to only be tied with using a mic with "use custom audio device"
The reason I use this setting is so my lips and voice sync up. Otherwise shit is out of whack.
[Edit2]
The crack/pop actually still happens even when not using "use custom audio device" it's just far less noticable.
