Question / Help OBS Live Streaming Audio Issue

So, I work at a small school and we recently began streaming a live morning news program using OBS and YouTube Live. For the most part things have been going great, but we have run into a small issue that I can't seem to figure out. Before we get to the live part of the news we have two short pre-recorded files that play. One is a scene that plays some ambient music and scrolls the text "Be back soon!" Then when we are ready we cut to the second scene that plays our newscast intro with an accompanying song. Here is where the problem arises - more often than not the audio doesn't play to our viewers for the introduction. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't - on our end it shows that sound should be occurring. I'll post the scene set-up below.

1. Be Right Back : Media Source (Video File)
2. News Intro : Media Source (Video File)
3. News : Live Stream From Webcam
4. Pledge of Allegiance : File of American Flag GIF
5. News : Live Stream From Webcam
6. Outro : Media Source (Video File)

Numbers 1, 2, and 6 are all the same type of file, but number 2 is the step we lose audio in. Are there any specific setting i should change? or specific file type to use? I am just confused on why it works sometimes, but not others. I am also confused as to why steps number 1 and 6 never have this hiccup since they were created the same way. Thanks for all of your help!
