Question / Help OBS lags when recording, but my game is fine

I get around 100fps on my game, yet when I check my OBS preview, it's lagged. When I first started using OBS it was fine, but, for seemingly no reason, it just started lowering it for no reason. My FPS limit is 30, I don't have an option ingame to set a limit, I activate VSync (that lowers my game's FPS). I really don't have a great PC, but its never done this before. Other screen recorders and streaming software don't do this, but I'm not going to leave OBS. I recall this happening on my old PC for no reason too, but I decided to switch to a new one. I did NOT change any settings, this happens both in streams and in recordings. Don't tell me my specs are bad since it used to work fine.

RAM: 8GB
Disk space: External storage (where my games are) 63GB remaining. Internal (where my OBS is) 545GB remaining
CPU: AMD A8-7650K Radeon R7, 10 Compute Cores 4C+6G, 3300 Mhz
GPU: All I can find on my computer, including my AMD settings, is "AMD Radeon R7"
OS: Windows 10 x64

Not exactly sure how to find my logs file in streamlabs OBS

Edit: I'm on 720p downscaled resolution. I also experience this issue when recording desktop with no other programs open

u didnt actually post a log file. u can try using your amd gpu for encoding if it supports it. however your cpu can also act as a gpu, so u should really figure out what u got installed in that pc.

i mean your cpu also has a built in gpu chip in it. You currently havent confirmed if u have a dedicated gpu or not. putting all that workload on the cpu would be quite a lot. it would be throttling, maybe not at first but eventually it prolly would, given enough workload - even if you're only then at 30 fps.
things to do, obs admin mode, turn off w10 gaming mode. in obs studio under help menu item there should be a log files sub category there, and u can upload from there or view last log file etc.

In any case, this forum does not provide support for Streamlabs OBS. If you're having problems with their software, you need to go to them (Streamlabs) for assistance.
