Question / Help OBS lag on any games

Well not any game, but I run around 500 fps on gmod and around 300 to 200 with obs on, the game lags and obs lags too. While recording the cpu usage goes to around 40%. I need help stopping it from lagging.
And also i want to keep the fps same or similar. Even on GTA 5 and others too! On gta i run around 70 to 100 fps on lowest settings and with obs it goes to 30 to 50

I started experiencing the same thing, my computer started lagging bad when I play games like PUBG, Tom Raider or Fortnite. I never had this issue but it just started doing it for whatever reason. Same settings haven't changed anything or added any hardware.
