OBS keeps on forgetting audio device.

OBS keeps on forgetting my secondary audio device which causes my recording to have no audio if I don't notice it.
How do I fix this or at least circumvent it?
It's annoying to find out after hours of recording that the past however so hours are not usable because OBS didn't record audio.

This happens to me at least once a week I turn on my stream PC and OBS is like what audio? I won't notice right away and i'll start streaming and then i'll see no game audio no mic audio and no music audio will be pushed to OBS this is rediculus it shouldn't be that hard to remember my settings if windows can do it OBS can do it.
