Question / Help OBS keep's freezing one me

[Brutstorm]

OBS is freezing op one me. Once i start streaming ore recording after a max of around 5 minutes it freezes.
The display of what its recording is frozen (wepcam/game capture, enz..) The only thing i can do is closing it fully down.
Recording's i cant open ore interact with FFMPEG-MUX64 error is what ym getting.

Until 2 week's ago it was running fine

Any info that will help me is welcome

Oh damn, I thought I was alone, I am strugling with this right now aswell. are u playing Legion?

#edit1 nvm did just see that it's hooking hots. i was chaning with my direct x in WoW cause it was an directx error we get, not sure if it fixed the problem but once i moved from 11 to 9 it didn't crash for atleast 10 mins

1> don't save to mp4 when recording. If you need multi-track audio save to mkv
2> disable gamedvr in the xbox app

Well i play Legion as well. The log copy is just from wen i was playing hots. Its the same thing in Legion. This is one of wow.

try switching your wow to direct x 9 in the options and see if it's happening again please.

You also should not be using the mediafoundation quicksync encoder. The new custom one will perform better.

where to get that quicksync encoder harold?

It's included in all versions of OBS after the one it was released in. When you select it and leave the settings, the mediafoundation encoder disappears because of how sub-standard it actually is (blame microsoft)

there we go, just had a crash with it. not sure what u talking bout with quick sync encoder tho, always been using the one in obs

What nvidia driver version are you using?

372.70 . I had other drivers before that, but they were up to date till the legion release.

*edit* what i wanted to say is that i had problems with 2 driver versions

Try with 365.19 instead.

U sure that it's drivers fault? I've been fine till 2 days ago.

nothing absolutly nothing. i did a drivers update today, to see if it solves it. it didn't. i am playing pure nerd legion for a week now, that's why i wonder how this can happen

i just realised that there was a windows 10 update on 2nd september.

Just did a test with wow running on Direct x 9 OBS crashed real fast

now i putted OBS Encoder on x264. if i read your log mkay299. Tested it fore around 30 minutes and np. Gone gave a look what happen's if a put wow back on Direct x 11

A buddy help me first time setting thing's up and install the quicksync. Since my understanding of all the setting's and program is minimal
