Interference - tales behind the buzz

THE problem of hindrance on the GSM Digital Mobile Network is a controversial one that should be placed into perspective. The support providers would have us think that electronic mobile phones cause minimum interference. Other people imagine that the whole world will blow up in the event that you trigger your electronic mobile. As a consumer of the electronic mobile network for the last few months, I've noticed minor disturbance in certain conditions. In most circumstances it's just no problem. In other particular cases it could be of any concern.

Other tests for hindrance to our national life support systems like the VCR, digital washing machine, dishwasher and (most significantly) that the TV, signaled they were resistant. The OPTUS cardboard box containing my new GSM digital mobile was sealed with decals warning of interference which could be due to worn health equipment.


It found that "the brand new digital GSM telephones are of greater concern than the elderly AMPS versions". Therefore don't pull on your batteries directly out just like you did using all the AMPS phone.
