Your case is related to streamelements plugin. Same way to fix it, completely remove it.
This plugins are known to break OBS.
ive removed it, along with all my sources aside form mic game and camera. and it still crashes it just did it again as always on the 30 minute mark, i even rolled back to an older version of obs
You have to post a crash report log man
i did its up at the top .. am i the only one seeing my first message?

Scratch that, after running hours, I got home and it did it again...

I'm about to give up...

No issues before, just randomly now I can't get this to work right and I've done nothing different, bout to throw this mf outta window!

I fixed mine today by uninstalling elgato 4k capture pro software and only install the driver in their website...I think its fixed.

Here is the list of solutions that I have applied to my PC without any positive results:
- Gotten rid of all extra plugins
- removed appdata\StreamlabsOBS
- Uninstalled Elgato 4k Utility cause padinn said it would work (totally didn't)
- Uninstalled and reinstalled 32.0.2

I am one unsuccessful attempt away from crying myself to sleep because I haven't streamed since December started

OH! and before you ask, here's my latest crash report
my OBS is no longer generating crash reports since I've deleted all 3rd party plugins it just goes into "not responding" until I force it to close by clicking in the software and getting the prompt to wait or close immediately

Alright fellas I found a fix before these pseudo-admins:

The scene collections are breaking your OBS

remove any scene collections in appdata/roaming/obs-studio/basic/scenes (keep them elsewhere)

Start obs and once you are in, you can import the scene collections somehow they won't break obs if you pull them in after the initial startup

I dunno, I'm starting to think this is a elgato issue..

I do remember getting a fw update Saturday ( the day this all started ) for my 4k60 pro mk.2...

Yesterday I ran obs on my pc all day while at work, no problems, but when I got home and turned on my Xbox, therefore sending data through my capture card, within minutes, it all came tumbling down...

Today's test, I've got obs open with arc raiders running on my pc, and my obs set on my pc game capture scene, and so far, no issues... been going for 2 hours now. Again, while xbox is on, typically obs goes 15 - 20 minutes before crashing.

Out of everyone in this thread, who all is running 4k60's or mk.2's internally?

Thinking maybe a fw rollback might fix it, but have to wait until I get home to try that...

So if jumped ahead of schedule ( still at work ) closed obs, opened 4k capture utility and turned on my Xbox, within minutes got the problem to show itself again.

Took a screen recording off of my phone to show what it's doing before shutting down... also, in the video, it says on capture utility " no signal ", but there was and my Xbox is still on...

I would suggest making your own thread, you are troubleshooting an issue separate from what is happening to others here.

This tracks much more than any issue with OBS itself considering your entire PC was freezing which requires a hardware/driver issue, both of which OBS is not but your capture card is.

I am running a 4k capture pro and removing its software and rolling back its driver appears to have resolved my issue.

I had 4k60 Pro Mk. II driver 1.1.0.198.8.1 installed last Thursday (Dec. 4) and it worked fine, but after installing the 4K Capture Utility on Sunday (Dec. 6) I started having my PC freeze whenever I'm using Elgato.

I attempted to uninstall the 4K Capture Utility and roll back the driver, but it doesn't seem to be working for me; PC still freezes after letting Elgato stay open and idle for about 30 minutes, regardless of whether or not I'm recording, and the driver in my device properties is showing up as 1.1.0.202.4 (from January 8, 2024??), despite trying to reinstall 1.1.0.198.8.1.

Update: Manually uninstalled the driver from Device Manager and that seemed to do the trick, though I still can't seem to reinstall driver vers. 1.1.0.198.8.1.

Thanks for taking the time to troubleshoot this @xSHROOMZx .... it does indeed seem to be an Elgato issue as we are seeing more reports. It has been reported directly to them, for now I'd recommend anyone reading this follow what was mentioned above about your Elgato drivers.
