After one of recent OBS updates (currently 28.1.2 version), using StreamElements, my pc starts lagging hard as soon as i launch any directx 12 game and obs. Works fine with Vulkan. Figured out that resizing obs to fit inside secondary monitor (portrait mode) causes this problem and if i resize it to extend into main monitor - problem goes away. It seems that few cpu cores spike up when this happens.
A video showing what happens and more detailed info below and inside video description:
More info detailing the the issue.
My monitors setup like this:
If OBS extends into main monitor, then problem goes away, although trying to resize OBS while it is only in monitor 1 causes massive frames issues.
Resizing OBS on main monitor is smooth and causes no frame loss.
Moving OBS so that preview window is NOT inside monitor 1 also seem to fix the problem, disabling preview fixes it too, but this problem doesn't even happen if i keep OBS inside main monitor (2).
This is all before i even start stream. Getting encoding overloaded as soon as i move my mouse outside main monitor or alt tab.
Had no problem until recent OBS update, although this monitor setup i have been using for only couple months.
Temporary fix is resizing OBS so that it barely extends into main monitor, but that isn't ideal and i would like to understand the cause. Monitor in portrait mode could be the cause, but it used to be my main monitor before i got this ultra wide monitor as main. Also pretty much anything in portrait monitor looks laggy. I believe it has 75Hz refresh horizontally and 60Hz vertically, which is flipped now. Not sure if it is somehow part of the problem.
