Question / Help OBS isn't capturing my PS3 when it switches to lower resolution.

So I bought an Avermedia internal capture card for my PC a while back. I set it up for streaming my PS3, mostly playing KH2.5 HD which puts out a source signal of 1080P. I recently wanted to try and play a game thats been stuck in my eternal backlog for a very long time, Red Dead Redemption. But RDR will not play at 1080P. It plays at 720P apparently. If I try to force 1080P resolution, the PS3 downscales the game to 480P. So anyway, it appears that when I transition to any lower resolution, OBS doesn't readjust for the lower resolution and I get a black screen. To ensure that my HDMI splitter was still stripping HDCP and that I wasn't having some kind of HDCP issue, I loaded up the capture in the included tool that comes with my Avermedia Live Gamer HD, an application called REcentral. REcentral confirms my stream is switching from a 1080P stream to a 720P stream and adjusts fine with no issue.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to get OBS to do the same? I've included a log(or at least I'm trying to attach one) and a screenshot of my capture device settings in OBS. I've attempted to manually set 1280x720 and 30 fps. I can then right click the capture image on the screen and fit to screen. but as soon as I exit out of the game and the resolution goes back to 1080P, the screen is cut off. I tried the option to preserve source size. But that only seems to have an effect if I restart my stream. Is there anyway to get OBS to match the stream resolution on the fly? I'd ideally like to set it up where I can switch between whatever game I'm playing and always get the best resolution without changing settings or restarting the stream.

Configure your PS3 to use a single output resolution. OBS does not detect the input resolution on the card and will never switch it automatically for you.
