You're using Windows 7. Support by Microsoft for this ends after next week. No essential security fixes any more. Upgrade to Windows 10. It's still free. While you may be able to fix your OBS issue under Windows 7, it would almost certainly be gone along an OS update to Windows 10.

Is the error caused entirely because of the fact I'm using Windows 7 or is there another work around?

I think the problem is there isn't anyone who can test one anymore. I don't have a Win7 machine around anymore to duplicate that issue, so I'm not able to suggest or test a workaround.

And even if I could, if it turned out the answer was a bug in the current OBS that made it incompatible with Win7, that bug would almost certainly NOT be fixed. The suggested workarounds would be to either upgrade Windows or downgrade OBS.

What downgrade would you recommend, going 32-Bit?
