Question / Help OBS is stuck at 900kbps

I stream at about 2660kb/s (including audio) 2500kb/s video 720p, and obs randomly everyday dies and changes between 900 and 3300, going from green to red making my stream lag. When it does it im not downloading stuff, not uploading anything extra, nothing is updating, speedtests are at normal speeds, games run fine, videos load fine, yet obs shits itself... making it unstreamable.

WHY is this happening?

I have attached the images of obs dieing and a speedtest image tested while obs was dieing. The attached obs image was taken after I restarted everything.

Dropped frames/disconnecting/lag? Read this first!

Everything else is fine, literally just obs having issues.

You mean Twitch is having issues. Or your ISP.
OBS can do nothing if your connection bandwidth to Twitch is suddenly reduced.

I assume for the speed you are using cable internet. Cable is a shared medium and bandwidth nosedives are quite common during peak hours.

Totally going through the same issue, streaming a good 2 months until now I cant do crap... something has changed and its obvious.

I stream 2500 bitrate and 720p 60 fps.. with 6 mbps upload. not a single drop of frames, until early April 2015 it just went to crap. my ISP came and even increased my upload to pushing 7-8 upload... doesnt make sense.

you have 19... thats ridiculous, how can ISP be the issue?

If you think OBS is the problem, you can always downgrade to an older version and test again.
