OBS is only recording my top left of screen

I am new to OBS and don't really know how to use it and it is probably a simple fix but when I record a clip it only records from the top left.

It could be as simple as the transform settings on your screen capture. You want to make sure that object it is set to fit to screen

Sounds like your Capture resolution is much larger than your Canvas resolution Just click on it and drag it down to the canvas size

So sorry that I don't know what any of this means. Could you elaborate and explain what to do in a simpler way?

Command click on the screen capture element in your scene and choose transform. Then see if fit to screen is set
