Ok so when I open up OBS it creates a strange roadblock (if you will) in my pc.
1: It freezes any videos I'm trying to watch online or a MOV on my desktop
2: It won't allow me to play mp3 files on my desktop
These are two things that I'm aware it does. However I'm sure it's doing more.
I've worked for hours trying to figure this out. Researching online, watching videos, etc.
I can still browse the web fine. I'm currently posting this while OBS has infected my computer.
I can still play video games just fine, but there is no sound.
I'll list my pc specs(if even needed):
have been having issues but I believe this to be unrelated.
I fully uninstalled OBS and then reinstalled the latest version and even did
the auto setup for streaming to see if maybe it was something in the settings
that I may have messed up. Still no change. After I close OBS everything goes
back to normal. I can hear all audio and all my videos online play as long as I refresh the page.
Here is something to note. If I'm playing a video on youtube and then open up OBS while the
youtube video is playing it continues to work just fine and I have audio. In this case it mutes my MIC.
My mic becomes corrupt and no longer works. If the youtube video isn't playing when I launch OBS then
its the opposite effect. My audio mutes and my mic still works. I'm usually very good at solving these issues
but I'm just losing all hope for this. Please someone shed some light on my case.
