Question / Help obs is already running

okay, so this has been going on for over a year now. Every time i try and open obs it says it is already running. I have closed everything i can find in task manager, i have uninstalled and re-installed multiple times. I don't know what else there could be for me to do. help would be much appreciated <3


i couldnt figure out how to add this log file, so here is the link

Have you tried restarting the PC?, just to make sure it is not some native DLL being hanging.

yes i wiped my hard drive twice. Still nothing :/

Did you check to see if OBS Studio is enabled on startup?

Go to Task Manager. Click More Details at the bottom footer.
Click the Startup tab.
Left click on OBS Studio to select and then right click to disable from launching at boot time.

I am having this problem too. Shutting down OBS leaves a task running. Starting it and shutting it down again leave another copy of the task running. This happens quite consistently. If I start and stop it 5 times I have 5 " OBS Studio" tasks continuing to run. They don't show in the application processes. You have to look down in the list of background tasks. I have a Windows 10 dmp file but I don't know quite what to do with it.
