Genuine Win10 x64, latest update
OBS 20.1.3 64-bit
7700k @ 4.8Ghz
Asus ROG 1080TI, latest Nvidia drivers
1x Asus ROG ROG PG278Q 1440p @ 144hz monitor (Gsync)
2x Acer H236HL 1080p @ 60hz monitors
When I do a fresh boot of my PC and first start a game, let's say PUBG, everything appears smooth. I can tell my G-sync is working, I have 144 fps in-game and it feels extra-smooth as it should. But the moment I launch OBS (not even starting stream, capture, or replay buffer), the game feels like it takes a noticeable drop in smoothness: the reported FPS is still high, but I feel a stutter that wasn't there before. Not quite like I'm being locked to 60fps or anything, but definitely choppier than before, like Gsync isn't working as fast as it should. It's hard to describe, it's very subtle, but it's there. I'm launching OBS on one of my 60hz monitors, could that have anything to do with it?
I've included a log file of me launching OBS while PUBG is running, though I doubt it will be of any help to you. Any advice or things to try are welcome. It's still playable, but it's just annoying. I've been trying to move from Shadowplay to OBS, thought Replay Buffer would do it, but I still seem to be having issues.
(On a similar note, anyone know why Replay Buffer only records a minute of gameplay even though I set it to 120 seconds?)
