Hi,
I've been having an issue with OBS over the past week or so where, even though my system resources aren't being stressed and temperatures are fine, in the preview window I can see the frame rate that is being output is being halved (15 or 30fps depending on FPS settings) even though on my end frame rates are normal. This issue literally started occuring overnight - prior to this I had no trouble with OBS either on this rig or my previous setup.
I'm not sure if its a stream issue per se as the issue is happening offline before I go live as well, and is consistent with every game and program I've tried so far - Elgato's Game Capture HD software, modded Minecraft, Monster Hunter World, Final Fantasy 14, Star Wars: The Old Republic - and the only changes I had made prior to this issue starting are both updating OBS to 25.0.1 and NVIDIA drivers to 442.74 (although I have subsequently updated to 445.75 and tried rolling back to 442.59 NVIDIA drivers and OBS version 24.0.3 to see if it made any difference - it did not). To be clear, this is effecting my streams - if it was just OBS halving output on my end, I wouldn't worry about it.
I have the log from a previous stream here https://obsproject.com/logs/3ph2lRZE9orbqLdq but from what I can tell the stream itself has been running well, no frames dropped from rendering or encoding lag and minor frame drops from network (which has always happened on my connection).
System specs are: Ryzen 3900x @ 4.15GHz on an x570 mobo, 32GB DDR4 cl16 3600 ram, GTX 1080 and everything running off of SSD's.
Thanks!
