Question / Help OBS interface shrinks to unusable size after half second

When OBS starts with CLR plug-in the OBS interface starts normal sized and a half second later it shrinks to an unusable size. If I start OBS without the CLR plugin (renamed CLR files) OBS stays normal sized. What's weird is that it was fine earlier today when I first installed CLR. What is going on here?

Yes, you're using DPI scaling. Please revert your scaling option to 100% under Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display and see if that fixes the issue.

Hi, I have the same issue too on my Surface Pro 3.

Yes, you're using DPI scaling. Please revert your scaling option to 100% under Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display and see if that fixes the issue.

How do you revert your scaling option to 100%? I'm not so Windows experienced compared to Mac. I went to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display... but then what?

Here is what I see currently:

So when you say 100%, should I click, "Smaller - 100%"?

Either way, I did and restarted. Once I did, it did not fix it. The font was still too small. The 100% seemed to make it worse.

I have a feeling that's not what you meant. Please be more detailed about what you mean by reverting the scaling issue to 100%. Thank you.

Right-click OBS > Properties > Compatibility tab > Check "Disable Display scaling on high DPI settings". That should fix it without having to revert display scaling settings.

@Sapiens Setting scaling to 100% shrinks everything else to the same size as the tiny OBS so that isn't going to work.

@San I have a Surface Pro 3 as well. Are you using CLR Browser pluging?

@dodgepong Changing that compat settings gets me closer to solving, but see screenshot below for what happens to text. Still unusable, especially when you have many sources to deal with. Also can't monitor FPS or Dropped Frames at bottom.

@flashkube That looks like either you increased the scaling to an even larger percentage or your Windows theme has enormous text or something. Have you changed any of the font size values under "Change only text size"? Title Bars and Palette Titles should be 11 by default, the rest are 9 by default. As you can see in @San's screenshot he's increased the font size, which can cause this type of problem too.
