I got a 2nd monitor today for my stream and even tho I dont have it for my main display OBS does not want to change it. I got it in 5:8 ratio, main monitor in 16:9. When I change to 16:9 in the settings it just ignores it and changes it back after I leave the settings. It changes without any problem in OBS Multiplatform.

Why does it keep ignoring my setup -.-

Help me please im getting frustrated coz of a little bug like this, and I dont want to change to OBS multiplaform.

I changed my selected monitor to my 16:9 one witch is my main but obs detects it as the 2nd one. It did not work, then I tried to manually set my resolution to 1920:1080, resets to 1050:1680 every time

Your log shows a base resolution of 1050x1680

Set it to custom in the video settings and enter in 1920x1080

Yea that's the problem, after I set it to custom 1920x1080 and click Apply, go to another tab in the settings and return to Video settings it resets like nothing happened. Did it 100 times and it always resets, tried one time in OBS multiplatform and it worked on first try.

Settings does not want to keep the changes I make in the Video.

Did you try running OBS as admin?

Is there some feature in obs classic that you believe isn't in obs multiplatform that you need?

Did try it in admin. My main problem with Obs multiplatform is that you cannot export the Scenes to it, and I have alot of scenes. Doing them all from the start would need 2-3 days, not to mention there is no scrolling text witch I use alot :/ and some other minor changes that I don't like

Scrolling text is something you can do with a scroll filter on the source or HTML in the browser source plugin. (I'd recommend using the browser plugin right now because of how much more control you have over text with it)

There's someone working on a scene converter that will allow you to convert scenes from classic to multiplatform. I'm not sure what the progress is on it.

Thank you for the help. Im going to try one more trick, pluging in my 2nd monitor once I already got my obs running.

Hope they get that scene converter out soon, I wanted to make the switch some months ago but was disappointed that it is not compatible.

I'm giving up for today, let's see if we can find a solution tomorrow... If not well I might look into other streaming programs and maybe Obs multiplatform

Security properties of %appdata%\obs - assign ownership to your user's account, apply to all child objects.

Okey I finaly found a solution. It was so simple that it freaks my out I didnt try it before. It seems my profile was stuck on that resolution, and when I made a profile copy it also got stuck.

So I made a fresh new profile and it works now.
