Bug Report OBS hotkeys doesnt recognize the grave key

I use OBS mainly for recording my game footage to review with my guild and for that my own voice needs to be recorded aswell, however when I try to enter my push to talk button into OBS it seems to not recognize as that key however it gets recognized as NUM 0.

It's not due to my keyboard since I also checked with the alt code for it and that also returns NUM 0 (alt code is 96 if anyone wants to try) the character that I'm talking of is the ` key found above tab and to the left side of the numbers and below the escape button.

I haven't found any solution to this myself except changing hotkeys which is doable but due to years of getting used to this hotkey and it mostly being an unused key I'd rather not, if anyone could help me out it would be amazing.

I was able to assign both ` and Num 0 as hotkeys and they were recognized correctly. Not sure what's going on on your system.

it works everywhere (as seen above) except in OBS, even the altcode returns NUM 0, would there be any text/config file I could edit this into so that I can "force" it in since it only does this in OBS and with a text/editor I could just normally put a ` in

Open %appdata%\obs-studio\basic\profiles, open the folder corresponding to your profile name, then open basic.ini in an editor like Wordpad.

` = OBS_KEY_ASCIITILDE
Num 0 = OBS_KEY_NUM0

I tried to there and change settings however it doesnt even show anything in the file when I create a hotkey for it (even outside of the grave key, even normal letters just simply aren't seen) however on other ones I can adjust them without a problem, I made a quick video of 2 minutes that showcases what I'm doing and that it does change for other hotkeys but not for the hotkey for push to talk that I'll edit in as soon as it's done uploading on youtube (shouldnt take longer than 5minutes)

youtube takes a couple minutes to process the video in 1080p but hope it's visible enough before if not, please wait a couple of minutes for youtube :)

I have the same problem when using an international keyboard, this makes the ` a dead key (so that pressing ` and e makes a è). This wasn't a problem the original obs.

I'm going to bump this thread, because I am having the exact same issue and it's frustrating the shit out of me. Did the OP find a solution? :)
