Question / Help OBS high CPU

Hi All

before x mass i was streaming well on my PC and all was ok, few day later i updated my obs and from that time it is not more usable for streaming, when my stream is enable my FPS are dropping from 130-140 to 60 FPS , and my CPU usage is around 99%.

is there any recommendation or help how to fix it pls ?

in case i can provide all my info which will be needed for troubleshooting .

just in case i tried yesterday streaming with xsplit and it was working well without killing my pc and 1920*1080 60FPS, but i don't want to use xsplit i love OBS. any answer help ?
 
Hi - Do you use any Mods/plugins/Scripts with obs ? Some (not-so-well-written) ones might be causing such situations...
 
hm. I dont use the browser source that much so i cant share some reasonable qualified Answer here. I think OBS uses a full featured CEF engine behind the scenes. you maybe want to try (for a test) using a Window Source with different external browsers to see if that scales better. (of course remove the browserSource during that test)

ok so it is strange, when i start OBS my CPU immediately go on 100% and i did not ever press start streaming.

now trying to use Streamlabs OBS and that one is working perfectly. so strange situation.
