Question / Help OBS has started to crash frequently.

I'm not to sure of what is happening with OBS, but recently it has begun to crash and then all of my other programs have to be relaunched. This usually happens mid stream and has started to happen in he past month. Today was the 3rd time, but this is the only time the Crash Report was actually made. I'm not really sure what to do, because it hasn't started acting up until recently and I've been streaming from this computer for a little over a year.

The crash seems to be an out of memory condition. Does OBS or another program consume all your system memory? You can use Task Manager to check.

Looks likeChrome is using almost 1kMB of memory and then OBS is using 1.7k to 1.9kMB. Then with a game open, I'm sure that has me crashing. What should I be looking for to lower the memory consumption of OBS?

Do you have a lot of browser sources or slideshows in OBS? Those both consume a lot of memory. Unless you only have 4-8 GB of RAM though that shouldn't be causing too much of an issue.

I will have to keep an eye on it then. I don't have too many browsers sources I am at 16GB of RAM. Chrome may be the ultimate culprit, but I will have to see what happens.
