Question / Help OBS goes into a Not Responding state when I try to stream/preview/record?

I have been streaming with the same settings for about a year now, I have not altered anything, nor downloaded any external programs. I tried opening OBS to stream, and the second I clicked start streaming OBS stops responding, even after opening task manager closing the app takes about five minutes of letting it sit? I have no idea what it could be, I don't think I am even able to snag my log without it freezing up on me.

Are you using Windows 10? If yes then I'd blame one of Microsoft's stealth updates breaking something again.
