Question / Help OBS getting no audio from AverMedia HD Capture C985

My setup isn't very complicated. I have the AverMedia card in my PC, with the HDMI in for the AverMedia card coming from my XBox 360. I have the video output from the AverMedia to my monitor for debugging purposes.

I am trying to use the direct AverMedia device from the "Video Capture Device" list, and I am getting video in OBS, however, the Audio Input is grayed out. There is no audio from the device at all in OBS.

I know audio is working with the card, as when I turn on AverMedia RECentral, I am getting full audio from the XBox 360 there. Unfortunately, I can't seem to do a window capture from it, otherwise I'd just go that route.

This is the log after yet another one of my attempts to get things working. I have tried both 32 and 64 bit to see if there was some issue there, but neither have worked.

As a follow up - I installed XSplit v2.3.1505.0542 and set the input to be the same as you see above. I have audio inside of XSplit from my XBox 360.

EDIT: Seeing how XSplit worked fine, I moved my C:\Users\Me\AppData\Roaming\OBS to OBS.old to reset the settings to factory, so to speak. I turned on OBS with the same settings for my cap card as above, but I had audio input light up for the (Use Device Audio) choice. I can now hear the capture card inside of OBS without having to use RECentral. Seems like my settings got corrupted at some point.

Hope this helps someone else if they end up stuck in this situation.
