With the 2023 M2 Pro chip Macbook Pro, the built-in retina display resolution appears as 1512x982 @ -1512.98 in the screen recording options. Whereas the screen resolution of retina display is 3024x1964. It shows the resolution of the 1080p 2nd screen I connected via HDMI correctly in the display options (1929x1080 @ 0.0). It makes the 3024x1964 Mac monitor look smaller than a 1080p monitor. How do I change the resolution of the built-in monitor to 3024x1964 in OBS?

OBS shows the resolution of the built-in display correctly in video recording output and video settings, but as I said, it takes low resolution in screen capture and records in 1512x982 size.

It's not taking in a low resolution screen capture. That's the resolution that it looks like, which is the resolution macOS reports. As you know, Retina resolution is @2x, so if it appears to be 1512x982 in resolution mode, it is actually recording 3024x1964.

Confirm this by looking in the Transformation window. You will see it is the full 3024x1964, provided you haven't already resized it yourself.
