OBS Freezes when transition from newly created scene

I am running Monetary 12.6. When I upgraded to OBS 28, any new scene I create will freeze OBS when I transition back and forth between the new scene and an existing scene. I tried to duplicate a working scene and the transition works fine. When I add a source to the duplicate scene, the freezing reoccurs. The source I an adding to the new scene is a text source. I did not have any issues on OBS 27.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
