Question / Help OBS FPS drops after installing capture card

Hey! So I've recently installed an Elgato HD60 Pro into my computer to stream from my PS4. Im actually not sure if its related or not, but I've recently been having some FPS drops on my stream whenever I stream some games. Today I tried streaming Tomb Raider and my game was running fine but the stream was only getting around 10-20 fps. Its weird because I've streamed the game before on this same computer with the same settings with no issues whatsoever. Just so you understand, the game was running on my PC, not my PS4. The capture card is not even being used. Im only mentioning it because its the only real change I've made to my computer since the last time I streamed the game, witch makes me think its somehow connected.

I've noticed bad performance in other games as well. PUBG for example. The game is running fine on my screen, but on my stream whenever I scope in the FPS drops really hard. Again, never had problems with that game before either.

It might also be worth noting that its only when I actually click into the game the FPS drops occurs. I tried running Tomb Raider in a small window on my screen and clicking onto the window made the FPS drop, clicking back onto my desktop made the FPS shoot back up.

The problems never happened before, only after I installed my capture card. Again, it might not be related but I dont know of any software update or anything else that might have happened that would cause this. Any of you guys have any idea what is going on?

Do not have display capture and game/window capture sources in the same scene.

And make sure game mode is off in windows' settings

Game mode is off and I removed the sources so I now only have display capture active. Still getting the same problems. I uploaded a clip from my stream earlier today where I was having the problem. You can see the game and my cam dropping frames as I hover my mouse over the game window. However for me on my screen the game was running smoothly.

You should actually be avoiding using display capture unless absolutely necessary, as it is the least efficient capture method available to OBS.

Tried both game and window capture now. Still getting the same fps drops in my OBS. In the past I've swapped between game, window and screen capture but I've never had this problem before.
