I've tried tweeting at OBS Project. I've tried Reddit and finally I'm going to try here as my final attempt to figure this out. Basically I built this PC for streaming and I noticed that when using OBS it drops FPS, not frames, but FPS and I've tried everything under the sun so far and am willing to attempt more to fix this. I started off by reinstalling windows and then updating all my drivers. I reinstalled OBS, then I turned off shadowplay and the windows gamebar. Finally I gave OBS full permission through BitDefender and reinstalled just in case any file had been deleted before the permission. I tried turning v-sync on and off. Nothing made a difference. I still randomly drop FPS. Here's my information.
- Windows 10 Pro (only version the store I bought my parts at had in stock)
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 1800X 4.0Ghz (attempted 4.2Ghz to see if that fixed it, but nope this is water cooled)
- GPU: Nvidea GTX 1080 Founders Edition.
- RAM: 32 GB 2400hz (attempted overclock to 2666, no difference. Rams rated at 3200hz).
- MOBA: Asus ROG Crosshair VI Hero AM4
- Internet Connection 60up 5down (not the best, but decent).
- OBS Version 20.1.1 (Tried running in priority High as well as real time).
- I tried OBS 32bit and 64bit.
- Attempting 1080P downscaled 720P 30FPS. game of focus Dead by Daylight.
- Attempted 2500-4500 upload nothing makes a difference and the issue happens without even hitting stream or record.
