OBS for progressive streaming

Hi,
I'm fairly new to the streaming world, so this is a real noobie question ...

Would it be good to install OBS Studio just to allow streaming of some videos?
I have a server - Centos 7 .
I have some big MOV files - 10 GB - which I want to make available to other people to watch. Not for downloading, just streaming.

Would this be a proper usage of OBS ?
I don't need the editing or creating functions for this.

Personally, I use Plex for that purpose. The peeps that have access to my library can watch or listen to anything 24/7.
