Question / Help OBS Fine when Active Window, If not FPS DROPS

Hi, everyone! been having this issue for a few weeks now and have found no real fix for my problems, I'm going to start off my linking my OBS Settings then my parts in my rig and hopefully, that will make it easier for you guys to try and help me!

So as the title says if OBS is the active window I get a solid nearly 60 FPS no problems, however as soon as I click my game window to play it drops seriously down to 4 FPS

There are my OBS Settings I have currently tried using both encoders, and reinstalling the program multiple times also deleting all user files and the OBS folder in %appdata%.

My RIG:

• Ryzen 5 1600 3.2Ghz 6-Core
  Corsair Vengence 16GB 3000Mhz
  GTX Geforce 1070 8Gb
  MSI B350 TOMAHAWK 7th Gen Motherboard
  EVGA 500w PSU
  1TB Hard drive
  120Gb SSD
  Dual Monitor set up

I'm really stumped now and have no idea what to do next! Please help!

Turn off Avast game mode.

Hi there i currently do not have that installed on my PC, i only use Nvidia shadowplay however i have also tried turning that off and it makes no difference

You're running into a known quirk which putting the GPU on load and having OBS in the background generates lagged frames in the log. But without posting a log that has said issue I can't help otherwise.

If you have an Nvidia card, which it looks like you do, make sure you do not have "geforce experience" installed, it is causing issues with streaming with obs.
