Question / Help OBS Files too Small/Not Opening (fixed)

Someone I know attempted to record in both .mp4 and .flv. Recorded files will not open in media players (windows media player and vlc media player).

File size of recorded, defunct .mp4 files were from 1 to 48 bytes--far too small for a video file.
.flv files seem to have had more regular file sizes (couple hundred kb for a ~30 sec to 2 min. vid), but still wouldn't open for longer than a few seconds.

Upon being opened, files will generally run for a few seconds before the player crashes, or will not load at all. A pop-up message has only appeared once, mentioning an "unsupported format" (despite formats normally being supported in their respective media players), but normally will not appear when the programs crash.

This problem started today, but old .mp4 files still do not work upon opening. Old .flv files do work. Whether this is an issue on the media players' part or not has not been investigated.

OBS version 21.1.0
Windows 10

(^ this is the only information regarding the software/hardware I could get, as the person experiencing the issues was growing impatient and did not want me to further my investigation at the time. I will attempt to get more information, if needed, later.)

It's possible. The person has very little space on his computer, so that might just be the case. However, we attempted to redirect the files from the C: folder (which was very low on space) to the F: folder, but it didn't do anything. It's possible that both folders are low on space, though, as he keeps a LOT of stuff around.

I'll try to see if clearing out the disk space, or redirecting the files toward a more spacious folder will help.
