Bug Report OBS fails to record with NVENC second time in same session.

As title, to record again, OBS must be closed and re opened.

Log states: [NVENC encoder: 'simple_h264_recording'] Failed to open NVENC codec: Generic error in an external library

264 works fine multiple times in same session.

Try running in administrator mode, and Check your NVIDIA settings for obs.

Run as admin makes no difference, OBS is in nVidia control panel, all settings are default.

After doing some searching, these guys had a similar problem as you, and I guess they resolved it with a driver update of some sort:
