Question / Help OBS Failed to start recording

I am using the newest version of OBS, 19.0.3. When i try to start recording an error message box pops up saying "Failed to start recording". In the box it says "Starting the output failed. Please check the log for details. Note: If you are using NVENC or AMD encoders, make sure your video drivers are up to date". I am not using either of those encoders, i am using x264 encoder. I updated all my drivers and the same issue remains

Now your log just shows you opening and closing OBS. You need a log file from a session where you're having the problem.

The problem is when i open OBS and click record i get that message box and the recording stops so there is no way for me to record.
 
It looks like you set too high of a bitrate for the CoreAudio AAC encoder. Over 160kbps is generally unnecessary.
