Question / Help OBS Encoder Overload

Hey guys, I've recently been streaming 720p60fps at 4000 bitrate, with x264, experimenting between fast,faster,veryfast, and sueprfast in cpu usage preset, with a bicubic downscale filter, and in intense moments in Rainbow 6: Siege, i've been getting a message that says something along the lines of OBS Encoder Overload.

My PC specs:

I7 3770 @ 3.4ghz
16gb ddr3 (4x4, 1600mhz)
r7 370 @ 1100 core and 1500 mem
adata sp550 ssd

Whats the difference between AMD VCE/AMF and x264 for streaming in quality and and how does it work to help increase performance?

Also, I dont seem to have AMD VCE/AMF, with my only other option in OBS being H264 Encoder so far.

AMD VCE/AMF uses your GPU instead of your CPU (for most work) -> so your CPU wont hickup while encoding when the game is CPU-heavy

have in mind that current AMF Encoder is under development AND OBS Studio Plugin is also under development
last public version of Xaymars Plugin is 1.4.3.11 and last patreon is 1.9.9.11 (patreon has to be paid - but you get access to the "betas")

in 1.9.9.11 has many features that improve quality and balance load better - so with your kinda weak gpu it might be better

update to latest AMD Driver 17.4.2
