OBS Emote Emoji's Pop Up during recordings

I've been using OBS for a handful of months now. When we started going live with our podcast I noticed maybe 15 - 20 mins into recording sometimes these emojis will pop up. One time these fireworks came out...I lucked out and that footage wasn't going to be used but it became UNUSABLE. Does anyone know of this or have encountered it before? I figure there's some plug-in that's causing it, I just need to figure out which one I believe and get rid of it.

I assume you're running on Mac and have upgraded to Sonoma? This sounds like a new function in macOS Sonoma. I encountered the same thing. Suddenly giant emojis showed up in my professional training workshops next to me. When you run OBS, look into your Mac status bar and find an icon that either looks blue or green, rectangular. Go in there and you'll find an effects button that you can switch off. Good luck!

Hey! Pretty sure I turned those suckers off. It seemed to be under "Reactions" in the menu bar. Apple...with their tricks up their sleeves, sometimes leaving you hanging lol ty. I'll find out for sure today if it worked.

Yes. I switched it off but found that it reactivated on its own. So unfortunately something I have not found how to permanently switch off
