Question / Help OBS + Elgato HD60 Crashing PC

Hello, so I have been experiencing a problem with obs. as the title says when i use obs with my elgato hd60 pro (from ps4 to obs 64 bit ) my whole pc just abruptly crashes no blue screen or obs crash the whole pc crashes and a second later im looking at the asus booting up screen. i have no idea why. so i uninstalled all drivers and obs then reinstalled the normal stuff but nothing then i noticed that there are two video capture options for my the elgato game capture hd and the Game capture HD60 (Video) i dont seem to crash with the video one (but only ever really tried for around 30 minutes and i like to stream for around 4-5 hours.... but im also running it right now its been live for around 20 minuets from 12:11 to 12:30 recording will update this but i want to start streaming in an hour and that is if i can) but as the name implies there is no audio from this capture source so i really don't want to use this. It seems like i can use the elgato game capture software for hours on end but when i try it with obs it just crashes any help would be great PC specks below.

(system underload only pulls about 450 watts and when streaming it isn't under load really and only pulls around (280-320)

PC Specs:
Cpu: I7-8700k (was over clocked but turned it off and even after the problem persists.)
GFX Card: Evga 1080ti (blower)
PSU:EVGA 600 watt
Ram: Crucial 16GB 2400
Motherboard: some asus one cant remember which

I have an Elgato HD60 Pro. Elgato seems to have added another device. I just use the non-video source as usual and haven't run into any problems. Its best to run this by Elgato tech support to ask them what this new device is. I remember on an another thread, someone mentioned that the video one has some enhancement but there's really no mention of WTF this is in their documentation or release notes.

The new device is the DirectShow interface that used to require a separate driver, it's now been folded into the main drivers.

If you hop into VLC etc you should see this device there as well.

OK so 8 Hours of recording/streaming later the problem is fixed as i said above there were two video devices i could choose from, the elgato game capture hd and the Game capture HD60 (Video) the video one works with no problem no crashing but no sound or so i thought if you go to your ps4/xbox properties you will see the "use custom audio device" check then then in the drop down select "Game capture HD60 (Audio)" then your done will be doing a video on it and will update this when i make the video will be a really quick one but i hope that it will help people.
