Question / Help OBS/Elgato Black Screen on Samsung TV

Hi,

I'm running into an issue with the Elgato, the PS3, and my TV (Samsung UN65F8000). What ends up happening is when I preview or attempt to stream, there is no video output on my TV. I am using the most update software/firmware for both OBS, Elgato, and my TV. My log is below. I have tried swapping HDMI cables and have even got a replacement Elgato and nothing is working. I did try testing my Wii U tonight and was able to get that to work successfully with OBS. Can someone help me resolve this? I've also reached out to Elgato and Samsung support with no resolution, thanks.

Are you using HDMI? Because if you are you can't capture the PS3. The PS3 has HDCP, which is an encrypted signal. You can't capture HDMI from a PS3 and record it.

Otherwise if you're on component cables, then I don't quite know, because the only thing OBS does is capture the elgato device itself. If the problem is with your TV itself them it wouldn't be a problem caused by OBS, but most likely the device itself.
