Question / Help OBS either records a blank screen, or a black screen with cursor

Hello there, I'm new to these forums and to OBS in general. I am trying to record gameplay footage of Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition to upload to my Youtube channel, but I'm having a lot of problems. I don't stream, I'm just trying to record a video to upload. I plan to record my voice-over separately in Audacity and edit it into the footage later on.

OBS either currently records a blank screen, or a black screen with the mouse cursor. The game sounds play in the background.

Strange because your log indicates that it's capturing successfully.

Make sure that your game and OBS are running on the same GPU, since you have the integrated one and the Discrete

I've tried running both OBS and Baldur's Gate through my Intel integrated card and through the NVIDIA 1050, ensuring they are both set to the same GPU. Unfortunately I've had the same results with both.

I'm not sure if this is related, but in OBS, the game capture window only shows a still image of the game and not moving footage in real time. When I export the video, the video is completely black. Now the mouse cursor has gone as well.

It's frustrating because at one point it actually worked and I don't know what has changed. Unfortunately I don't have any logs from that time to compare.
