Bug Report OBS Dropping Framest? [was using an ancient version]

Hello! So I just love OBS, I think it's far superior to the app which must not be named, buy my only issue is that OBS is telling me I am dropping frames, however just from asking people who watch my stream they say its absolutely fine. I use the exact same settings as I do on the app which must not be named for OBS and it tells me I don't drop frames so I am not entirely sure whats going on. So I just want to ask for some help to see if I need to tweak some settings for OBS or if it's something else. I use the following settings across both programs:

Encoding
Quality Balance = 7
Max Bitrate (kb/s) = 3000
Buffer Size (kbit) = 3000

Video
Base Resolution: Custom = 1920x1080
Resolution Downscale: None (1920x1080)
FPS = 45

I figure I would post my PC specs to give as much information as I can to help myself!

PC Specs
Intel Core i7-3770K 3.50GHz @ 4.50GHz
MSI GeForce GTX 680
MSI Z77A-GD65 Intel Z77
Corsair Vengeance RED 16GB
OCZ Vertex 3 120GB

This is also the latest log file where I noticed I dropped frames but the stream itself seemed to be ok.

I added a few more for the sake of trying to help myself as much as I can. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Re: OBS Dropping Frames Compared to XSplit? [ancient version

You're using 0.448. The app is currently on 0.472. You're using an ancient version back when it had problems with frame drops. Upgrade if possible.

Well that's somewhat embarrassing, even more so by the fact I actually downloaded the latest one with what you said in mind just never actually installed it and made the post first! Thanks for the speedy reply.

Updating seems to have fixed my problem! 0 Dropped frames after a 6 hour long stream, wonderful! Off topic now, does OBS support local recording whilst streaming or just local recording in general?

OBS supports both. For a local recording while Live Streaming, there is a Save to file option in Broadcast Settings, check that and select the file path and it'll save the recording after you are done streaming. For doing just a local recording, you can select File Output Only under mode, and then the file path, and it'll save the video locally instead of streaming it.
