Question / Help OBS doesn't detect audio

Hello, when i first got OBS, it recorded perfectly. A few weeks later, however, it didn't detect desktop audio, though it picked up mic audio perfectly (I use a headset if that helps). I have attached the log file. Thanks in advance :)

I notice you're on the 2004 preview ring for windows 10. There have been several updates that reset audio devices. Try changing your audio device in obs settings from "Default" to the "Speakers / Headphones (Realtek Audio)" and vice versa, just to force OBS to refresh which device it's actually looking at.

According to the logs though, it's not encountering anything that should be inhibiting capture from that device.

lmao i just realised that i had unknowingly muted obs and that was stopping it from detecting any audio. it was working the whole time :P
