Question / Help OBS doesn’t record the full time

Hello! I am trying to record 20-30 minute videos of gameplay, however everytime i go to record i find it stops recording itself. if i record for 2 minutes it only captures 30 sec. if i record 25 minutes it only records 45 sec. it’s never consistent and very frustrating. I could really use some help.

Also, if you are trying to play the video back in "Films and TV", don't. Download VLC instead. The default Windows video player is... pretty terrible.

how do i get my log file? also, i use VLC

yes i do, and say i hit the end record button after 20 minutes, it only records the first 3, or 4 minutes. it’s never consistent but never records the full time.

Please post the log file. Also, what is the actual hotkey that you have set?

I use NumPad + to begin the video and NumPad Enter to end it.

That logfile does not contain a streaming or recording session. We need one from where the issue happened.

I use NumPad + to begin the video and NumPad Enter to end it.

There's no distinction between NumPad Enter and normal Enter. If you're doing something like typing and you press your standard Enter, it will stop your recording.

Use a different hotkey or combination that you are guaranteed to not hit during normal operation.
